Huge congratulations to our old boy, Dr. Felix Yip Chi Ming (1972) on being elected President of the
Medical Board of California!
The Medical Board of California is the state government agency responsible for licensing, regulating,
and disciplining physicians and surgeons, serving as California’s consumer protection authority for
healthcare. While most board members are appointed by the Governor, Dr. Yip was elected by the
board members to serve as their President, a true testament to his leadership and professionalism.
In his medical practice, Dr. Yip has run his own successful urology practice since 1987 and serves as a
Clinical Professor of Urology at both USC and UC Irvine. He holds an M.D. and a BS in Molecular
Biology from the University of Wisconsin, alongside an MBA in Healthcare Management from UC
Irvine.
Closer to home, Dr. Yip holds a deeply special place as our Alma Mater’s most generous alumnus
benefactor. His generous donations have fuelled our Alma Mater’s continuous development, most
notable of which was the recent renovation of our school library. His unwavering commitment and
contributions leave an indelible impact on our students’ learning environment and daily lives.
